Looking for a specific class?
My skills and practices span a wide variety of fields. Sometimes it can be hard to tell what I do. Below are some past classes or workshops I have facilitated.
Hands on.
sketching.
sketching is one of the first skills I teach at the beginning of every class, camp, or workshop. It can be crucial in communicating your ideas, getting feedback, and collaborating. I think everybody should be confident in sketching!
circuitry.
circuits are everywhere! knowing how they work and what you can do with them is a fun and important skill to learn at any age. From the materials involved, to the basics of electricity, how to design a circuit to do what you want, even classes on robotics and micro-controllers: circuits can be fun!

textiles.
Sewing machines are power tools that teach patience. I believe everyone should know how to fix a hole in their pants, or make a bag to carry around their favorite items. From threading a needle, to constructing a garment, to altering something you own already, below are some textile classes I have taught.

woodworking.
Growing up tinkering in my father’s woodshop gave me a respect of woodworking at a young age. Throughout the woodshops of high school, college, and makerspaces, I learned about sourcing wood, using bigger tools, and woodshop safety. I love both practical and playful applications, here are some workshops and camps I have taught before

social justice.
there has never been a time to share our diverse lived experiences, and ideate and cultivate a culture of understanding and action. While all of my classes have an element of social justice involved, I have facilitated specific curriculum for design justice, getting out the vote, social media activism, and more.
skateboard activism.
skateboarding can be a tool for social change. through intentional sessions and meetups, learning can build community and influence individuals to become involved. Skaters can impact urban planning, disrupt social segregation, and encourage independence. interested in how they are related? drop me a line!
